All the skins you could want + some of the best valued modules I've tried so far.

Five Star ReviewFive Stars

Recently, I purchased a packaged subscription that was listed at Snowcovered and had to drag myself away from playing with all the new stuff I got long enough to let my visitors know about it.

First off, something caught my eye when I saw the AllDNNSkins.com advertisement that said 1 year subscription to their site which enabled you to download all their skins as well as get huge savings on packages of skins, modules and services that they provide. Also with the subscription I would get a  free 1 year subscription to Ventrain Systems, where there are some really useful modules, one of which, I really had my eye on.

Leary to spend more money on this adventure that I've started on since discovering DNN, I whipped back and forth throughout the two sites trying to understand just exactly what I was getting for my money. A Lot! Simply put.

AllDNNSkins had this very skin that my site is using within their vast library of nice skins built for DNN. Once I downloaded to my hearts content, all of the skins that I liked, it was off to Ventrain Systems where I logged in with my new subscription "in hand." I like the fact that i can keep downloading new skins as they come out for a year.

My head is still swirling with all the possibilities that have opened up by getting access to what Ventrain Systems has to offer. Some of the modules I just couldn't wait to try. It just makes it all so easy now. One of the modules (Property Agent) is more than just a Real Estate Listings Module. In fact, they had a template that I used for my transcanadachrysler.com's site for their vehicle listings module. Ventrain Systems Property Agent  has replaced the crappy software package that I got stuck with from DotNetJedi.com which was their Auto Dealer module. (long story!) I now have all the control I need over the module by having the source code, which would have cost me $300.00 if I wanted the source code to the Jedi module and it's half the program as this one.

You'll have to forgive me for my harsh criticism of DotNetJedi because they cut me off of their support because issues with their module, licensing issues on my part and people that can't take advice or ideas given about problems with their software....whew! I've been wanting to get that out for a while! It's too bad I had to litter that nonsense within the same page as my review of a product that I like but it was a comparison that had to be made.

Every one of Ventrain Systems' Modules installed without a hitch and there have been no errors encountered as of yet. I don't expect there to be either. Scott McCulloch's Modules are well written and feature rich. He's saved me a lot of work and money by having module that just works! It took me a whole 1 hour to get used to what the module could do, populate it with vehicle listings and tweak it a bit here and there. Whereas I've spent 5 months sturggeling with the "other" module. Oh, did I mention that I get all the source code with the Ventrain Systems modules? Ya... that's awesome! There's a vast amount of information on his forums and I haven't had to call for help yet!

This suite of products from both sites recieve a Proud Five StarsFive Starsand is a first for Raintowers!
